OneShar.es is used to send private information meant to be viewed by only one party and then deleted. It may be used to send any kind of information, such as PIN numbers, credit card numbers, or other information that is best kept secure.
OneShar.es was created by Jerry Thompson, co-founder and CTO at Cando Entertainment. The web app launched in December 2011, with mobile apps for Android and iPhone devices in January of 2012. There is little data regarding popularity, other than approximately 6,000 unique visitors in February of 2012.
The unique feature of this application is that, not only does it encrypt data with HTTPS (SSL; Port 443)and store the date in an encrypted state, as soon as the someone views the data via the unique URL given to the user to share, the encrypted data is deleted from OneShar.es's system. The information is literally shared only once and then it is gone with no digital trace whatsoever.
There does not seem to be any other application that performs this service as simply and effectively as OneShar.es.
The app is very simple. A user enters a message in the space provided in the app. A unique URL is created for the now encrypted message. One-click copying allows the user to share the link via email or other means with the intended recipient. The recipient clicks the link, views the content, and once the page is refreshed, navigated away from, or closed, the link will no longer work. The content has been deleted completely and cannot be restored in any way.
It is reminiscent of the Mission Impossible mission messages that would "self destruct" after being read or heard. The link will no longer work and the app assures users that there are no traces of the information left on either computer, their servers, or out in cyberspace.
It works perfectly with no glitches and is an uncomplicated way to send secure content and be certain that it stays secure.
The Google and iPhone app options make this even more attractive, as messages can be sent and received via the app with the same high level of security and confidence.

These days there are always concerns that private data can be retrieved or found even after deletion from a computer. This application takes away that concern, at least for data that needs to be shared with someone. Whether used for business or personal information, the security of knowing that there is no trace of the message left to be found, hacked, or compromised, is something that many users will find comforting.
This application would be useful for anyone who needs to share sensitive information. A husband who needs to send a PIN number to his wife; a company that needs to send passwords and confidential information to a client; a mother sending her credit card information to her daughter to make a purchase; truly anyone who wants to send content that is viewed once and then disappears.
